BIO
I live in Manhattan Beach, CA with my husband and three rescue dogs. My early professional journey began in the field of architecture, which later expanded into real estate development and construction project management. I hold of Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Architecture. My professional transitions allowed me to explore a range of skills and perspectives, but despite professional success, I found myself yearning for more creative fulfillment.

My path eventually led me back to my roots in art, where I reconnected with my passion for working with my hands.
Guided by my love for texture, color, patinas and the natural world, my work explores the intersection of imagination and authenticity, resulting in pieces that are as vibrant and dynamic as my own journey. I channels inspiration from nature, vibrant color palettes, and her deep connection to intuition, the subconscious and creative flow states.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My work lies at the intersection of architecture, construction, and art. With a background in both the built environment and creative practice, I explore the inherent tension between the man-made and the natural, focusing on the materials, processes, and imperfections that arise over time and during the creative process. My medium of choice is carved concrete, a material that carries the weight of construction yet is often overlooked as an artistic medium. Through it, I aim to give voice to the subtle beauty of decay, wear, and the passage of time.

The initial medium, the technique of carving concrete, was inspired by the processes I observed on construction sites: the careful cuts made in concrete to prevent cracking and the meticulous manipulation of the material during pours. These processes, born out of necessity and precision, have evolved into a language for my work. The forms created are not structural, but expressive—suggesting a dialogue between the hard, industrial world and the softer, more organic forms found in nature.

Nature, for me, is an endless source of inspiration. The erosion of surfaces, fragments created from material failures, the formation of textures, and the natural patinas that occur over time are reflected in my work. I seek to capture these elements of decay and transformation—celebrating the beauty in things that age, shift, and change. The patterns I create are abstract, sometimes recalling the randomness of geological formations or the delicate intricacies of plant growth, yet always grounded in a sense of organic flow.

Playfulness is a central element in my creative process. I embrace bold colors, unexpected surfaces, and the potential for functionality within the art itself. My work is not only a visual exploration but also a tactile one, inviting the viewer to engage with the surfaces and textures, to explore the relationship between form and touch, structure and sensation.

At its core, my art challenges the dichotomy between utility and beauty, construction and nature, permanence and impermanence. It is a celebration of the marks left by time, the serendipity of materials, and the possibility of finding art in the everyday.
